Amid scarcity, a flood of events, and the constant struggle with both internal and external forces—sanctions, inflation, economic stagnation, environmental crises, and

finally COVID-19—this series came into being. Throughout it, the contradictions of our contemporary life are visible. Ultimately, the current body of work, through a hide-and-seek between initial ideas and the process of making, reached its realization despite all obstacles.

Yet invisible threads still preserve a state of suspension, evoking an intensified anxiety—the moment just before an event unfolds. It feels as though we are standing at the end, that brief instant when all the scenes of life pass before our eyes. Silence and stillness. As if we are all waiting together—for a meteor to fall, or the glaciers to melt completely—until every string and thread snaps, releasing us from suspension and propelling us into the moment of occurrence.

Now, the series 19+1 stands precisely at its beginning and its end, its birth and its death.
